The Music That Inspires Us…

No matter how bad a day we may have had, there is always that one song that when we hear it, it lifts us and make us feel that things might not be so bad after all. Or there is that song that every time we hear it, we feel inspired to do something.
While watching TV yesterday, a commercial was playing “Will You Be There” by Michael Jackson, otherwise known as the “Free Willy” song. When ever I hear that song I feel inspired to do something, anything. I feel motivated to get involved with a cause. For my husband it is the song “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey that can bring him out of a slump every time. When I mentioned this topic to my sister, she told me that “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi inspires her to keep going when the going gets tough.

I think that this would make an interesting blog topic, “The Music That Inspires Us”. So let’s get as many people as we can to tell us which songs inspire them and what they inspire them to do, and then I will compile a list of the most inspiring songs and post it in an upcoming blog post! It doesn’t have to be mainstream music, it can be classical, rap, alternative, pop, rock, etc. and it can be from any time period. Let’s have fun with it!

Let me know what song (or songs) inspire you (and what they inspire you to do) in the comment section below! Or leave me a note on Facebook or tweet me on Twitter. You can also email me at

I love this topic! “Don’t Stop Believin” is definitely a good one! I actually have a playlist on Spotify called “inspired,” and I listen to these songs when I’m in a slump. A few songs on there are “Try” by Colbie Caillat, “I Lived” by OneRepublic, and “Warrior” by Demi Lovato.
