For day 11 I borrowed a recipe from my sister. She told me that her family loves it when she makes them her pizza casserole recipe, so I decided to give it a try. I used venison pan sausage in this recipe, but it can be made with ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken.
1 pound ground meat
2 jars pizza sauce
10 oz cooked rotini noodles
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
1 small package pepperonis
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown meat in skillet, drain well, and return to skillet. Add pizza sauce and noodles to meat and combine well. In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish scoop in some meat mixture, top it with cheese, and layer pepperonis on top of the cheese. Then add another layer of meat mixture, top with cheese, and top with pepperonis.

Bake casserole in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, until it is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
This made a lot of casserole, I was actually able to make this 9 x 13 dish and another smaller dish of it and over the next few days we ate it all, the leftovers didn’t last long and it made a good lunch for my hubby to take to work.
